NEWSCRUB AH 400 ROASTER is the 5,000 m³/h size of the NEWSCRUB AH ROASTER water scrubber: recirculating hydrodynamic washing for smoke, grease and odours from charcoal grills.

The unit is installed on the hood extraction duct. Water sprayed by the nozzles wets the particulate and grease, makes them heavier and carries them into the collection tank, where they settle.

The problem
Smoke, grease and odour from charcoal cooking
Grill smoke carries carbon particulate, grease and odorous compounds. Without treatment they settle in the duct and reach the discharge.
Grease and soot settle on the inner walls of the extraction duct.
Untreated particulate reaches the extract fan and fouls it.
The remaining odour can be noticed outside.
How it works
Recirculating water washing
The air enters the washing chamber. The nozzles spray water onto the flow, baffles increase contact and the wetted particles settle in the collection tank.

Increase contact
Baffles guide the air through the washing stages, so contact between water and air lasts longer.
Collects and returns the water
The tank holds 270 l; the 1.85 kW pump returns the water to the nozzles. It is not a once-through system: the tank is emptied and cleaned periodically.

In line on the duct, with the tank accessible
The unit is installed on the hood extraction duct, in line or in a branch depending on the space available. The tank must remain accessible for emptying and cleaning.

Anchoring
Fixing and access to the tank
The unit is fixed on the duct or on a dedicated supporting structure, with the tank accessible for emptying.
- Supporting structure suited to the machine weight and free from vibration.
- Metal brackets sized with a margin over the declared weight.
- Provide the tank drain and space for internal cleaning.
- Handling with pallet truck or forklift depending on the size.
The actual weight is on the transport document and must be used to size brackets and lifting equipment.
